Live Mesh sounds very promising. It even has a wait list for new subscribers, which means absolutely nothing.

What exactly is Live Mesh?

It's a great step towards breaking free from a single device (a desktop, a laptop, a Blackberry, etc.) being the center of your universe. It promises to let you share the important stuff among all of your devices so that you can stay connected with yourself no matter what device you happen to have in your hand. In other words? Leave the laptop in the office because you can make the lifeline stuff available (through Live Mesh) to your desktop at home...or the laptop that you travel with, and automatically sunchronize everything so that all devices are up to date.

On the Live Mesh (LM) site, you add devices to your "device ring" to make them available to you from any other device within the ring. The LM web site enables you to manage the information that you share, and the synchronization of that information. Each device simply needs an LM client installed to it so that it has the intelligence needed to participate. Baseline (free) storage Begins at 5GB per account.

In the near future, IT departments will be able to manage devices via Active Directory and enforce usage policies across departments and organizations.
